An advanced course in Data Analytics and Data Visualisation with special emphasis on basic data science fundamental for the students with a good understanding of mathematics and analytical skills. Data Analytics is the science of analyzing data to convert information to useful knowledge. This knowledge could help us understand our world better, and in many contexts enable us to make better decisions. This course seeks to present data analytic techniques.

While technology has increased access to and proficiency in tools to work with data, there remain gaps in capabilities. Anyone can put some data in Excel and create a graph, but the tools don’t know what that story is. Hence it actually may become extremely difficult to communicate something to someone using data. These sessions will focus on how to enable students to shift from simply showing data to storytelling with data.
